INNOFOOD is an innovative initiative under NICHE’s INNOCAP initiative aimed at improving R&D and innovation management practices at two Higher Education Institutions: The Ho Technical University (HTU) in Ghana and the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Kenya.

The INNOFOOD initiative is looking to identify key innovation challenges of companies working in the food processing sector and engage them in market driven research trajectories together with selected groups of students and faculty of the two involved institutions.
Throughout the process, INNOFOOD will provide hands-on support to HTU and JKUAT, from conceptualizing possible innovative solutions to address the business challenges, to translating them into research projects and mobilizing resources to finance them.
