Dimensions: 50 x 40 yard field with a goal at either end. Cone off a diamond inside the field and set up two even teams. Normal game rules apply. Two wing players from either team occupy the outer diamond, the remaining players occupy the centre of the diamond, players are not allowed outside of their section.
How to: Normal practice game rules apply, attempt to score against your opponents whilst adhering to the conditions of the game.
Coaching Points: The inner diamond may get congested, try to work the ball into areas where the wingers may support in attack, as the wingers cannot enter the inner diamond, you will always have width available, be sure to use it to stretch the defense and create gaps to attack. The diamond allows the wing players to defend and attack, this will simulate their roles in game situations, remember to feed back to players when a certain situation worked, or what could have gone better, allow players to discuss this amongst themselves too.
